Astranis is building small, low-cost telecommunications satellites. By owning and operating its satellites and offering them to customers as a turnkey solution, Astranis is able to provide bandwidth-as-a-service at a fraction of the cost of legacy providers, unlocking previously unreachable markets.

Why we invested
Aerospace engineers John and Ryan set out to connect a growing number of people on the planet to the internet by developing satellites that operate from geostationary orbit. Their clear vision for the growing market, and decisive approach to the company’s development, from internal processes to customer acquisition, convinced us that this endeavor was worth pursuing.
